Sitemoth is a software tool. By downloading or using it you agree to the following.

License

The free tier may be used by anyone for any lawful purpose on sites they are allowed to crawl. Paid keys are per person (Pro) or per seat (Agency) and may be installed on all machines that person uses. Keys may not be shared beyond the licensed seats or resold.

Responsible crawling

You are responsible for the sites you crawl, for respecting their robots.txt and terms, and for the load you place on them. Sitemoth identifies itself by default; if you change the user agent or enable browser-like headers, you take responsibility for doing so.

Warranty

Sitemoth is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. Checks are advice, not guarantees about search engine behaviour. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before a claim.

Reports

By sending a report you grant us permission to store and use its contents to diagnose and fix problems and to build regression tests, which may contain the page HTML you sent. Do not send pages containing personal data of others.

Changes

We may update these terms; the current version is always at sitemoth.com/terms. Last updated 17 October 2026.
